Bloodhounds are leader of the pets but extremely affectionate and caring. Generally calm at home, tireless trailer at outfield, tough and independent, rarely stubborn, yet loyal to its family gentle to children and other pets including dogs and cats. Simply straight forward, this dog is relatively less playful but not graded as lazy dog. Liveliness and activities of this breed lies at fields. It is a warm companion, sociable but needs to be housetrained. Natural dominating offers resistance in training, training period of dog is rightly a test to the patience of owner. The breed is aloof of strangers.

The first appearance of this giant dog in Europe dated in 8th century before the Crusades; the two specimens were brought separately as black and White. Temperament

Coat grooming is simple and minimal, occasional brushing, washing or bathing are good hygienic treatments. The Bloodhound is quiet, calm, patient, noble, mild, lovable, gentle and sociable dog. They get along exemplarily well not only with children but with other dogs and cats at home.
